This Privacy Policy explains how Statics (the "app"), an unofficial companion app for VALORANT, handles information when you use it. Statics is a free, ad-free passion project built and maintained by an individual developer. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

Statics is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games. VALORANT is a trademark of Riot Games, Inc. Your use of your Riot account is also governed by Riot's own Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.

1. The short version

  • Statics never sees or stores your Riot password — you log in through Riot's own official sign-on page.
  • The app reads your VALORANT data (matches, rank, store, loadout, friends) to show it to you.
  • Community features (chat, "looking for game", public profiles, friend requests) store the content you post using Google Firebase.
  • Anonymous diagnostics and analytics help fix crashes and improve the app.
  • Statics shows no ads and does not sell your data.

2. Who we are

Statics is developed and operated by Faheem Saleem ("we", "us", "I"), the data controller for the purposes of applicable data-protection law. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section.

3. Your Riot account & sign-in

You sign in through Riot's official Riot Sign-On (RSO) page, which opens inside the app. Statics never receives, sees, or stores your Riot username or password. After a successful login, Riot provides the app with a secure access token — a temporary credential that lets Statics read your VALORANT data on your behalf.

This token is stored only on your device so you stay signed in, and is sent directly to Riot's servers to fetch your data. Using this access, Statics may read information such as your:

  • Riot ID, PUUID (a Riot account identifier), region and account level;
  • match history and match details;
  • competitive rank and rank history;
  • daily store, wallet balances (VP/RP/KC) and owned items (skins, sprays, cards, titles, buddies);
  • friends and party information, and live/agent-select status while you play.

4. What Statics collects

VALORANT game data

The game data listed above is fetched from Riot's services (and, for some public statistics, from the third-party services listed in section 6). It is used to display your stats and is generally held only for as long as needed to show it to you.

Account & community data

If you use Statics Social (community chat, the "looking for game" board, public profiles and friend requests), the content you choose to create is stored using Google Firebase. This can include your Riot ID and displayed rank/player-card, messages and posts you write, friend connections, and a Firebase authentication identifier. This content may be visible to other users of the app by design.

Diagnostics & analytics

To keep the app stable and understand how it's used, Statics uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. These collect information such as crash reports and stack traces, device model and operating- system version, app version, general region/language, and anonymised usage events. This data is not used to personally identify you.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to back up or restore your Statics data, the app uses Google Sign-In and stores a backup in your own Google Drive. This feature is optional and only runs when you enable it. Statics does not have access to the rest of your Drive.

Data stored only on your device

Much of what Statics uses stays on your phone and is never sent to us — for example your saved accounts and access tokens, loadout presets, wishlist, cached game assets and prices, and your in-app settings. This data is removed when you log out or uninstall the app.

5. How your information is used

We use the information described above to:

  • display your VALORANT stats, store, loadout and live-game information;
  • provide community features and deliver friend, shop and match notifications you've enabled;
  • back up and restore your data when you ask us to;
  • diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve the app;
  • keep the community safe and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

Where data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent (for optional features such as backup and notifications), the performance of our service to you, and our legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and working well.

6. Sharing & third-party services

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. Statics relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Riot Games — sign-on and official VALORANT data.
  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Storage) — community features, notifications and diagnostics.
  • Google Sign-In & Google Drive — optional backup and restore.
  • HenrikDev API and tracker.gg — additional public VALORANT statistics.
  • valorant-api.com — public game assets (icons, names and imagery).
  • GitHub — hosting of app releases and this website.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or the app.

7. Push notifications

If you enable notifications (for example daily-store alerts, wishlist hits, friend activity or "match found"), Statics uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or within the app.

8. Data retention & deleting your data

Data stored on your device is deleted when you log out of an account or uninstall the app. Community content you post is retained while your profile is active so the community can function.

You can request deletion of your community data (such as your public profile, messages and friend connections) at any time by contacting us using the details below. We'll action reasonable requests within a reasonable time, unless we're required to keep certain information by law.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information — for example, your Riot token is kept on your device and community data is handled through Google Firebase's secured infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Statics is intended for VALORANT players and is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

11. International users

The third-party services we use (such as Google and Riot Games) may process and store data on servers located in other countries, including outside your own. By using Statics you understand that your information may be processed in those locations under their respective privacy policies and safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be announced in the app or on our Discord. Continued use of Statics after an update means you accept the revised policy.
